I was asked by Disney TV Animation in America to give my take on a new series of Mickey Mouse shorts. I gathered a small team of artists and instead of producing designs and a small motion test we decided to make a short, something that took Mickey back to his leading man status of the 40's. We blended his 40's design with our own visual style of cut out/illustration. It was great to see Mickey doing his best Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin routines again. Disney loved it and it opened up a door to my own IP development with them. I co wrote, produced, directed, co designed, key posed and composited the enitire short.
